  • The premise of the article was that Obama's policies were beginning to work and that the economy was starting to turn around. When you're faced with a Great Depression-like downfall, conventional wisdom (and history) calls for deficit spending. Simple Keynesian economic theory.

  • I read Ted Kennedy's autobiography. He did more to help the cause of working people than probably any public servant in our history. He had many faults and failures in his life, like we all do.

  • All the states are broke, Jim. I applaud your work ethic and agree with your values of striving to improve your station in life. But good healthcare should not be a part of those goals. That should be guaranteed to all people so that they have equal footing to make that journey.
